For sale is the Omega Seamaster 600m Ploprof, reference 166.077.
Introduced in 1970, the Ploprof was a groundbreaking diving watch for extreme conditions, and has since been an iconic design for the industry and watch enthusiasts. It features a 45mm solid stainless steel case fitted with a black bi-directional black bezel with luminous dive graduations.
The aged black dial features luminous hour markers and hands, including a striking orange edged minute hand and date aperture at 3 o'clock.
It's powered by the automatic calibre 1002 movement with aa power reserve of 42 hours. A screw-down crown and on the right of the case is fitted with its red bezel lock mechanism.
This 1974 example comes in a vintage Omega box and Omega archive certificate detailing its specifications and origins.
It's in very good condition considering its age, and a unique patina has formed on the dial and hands. 12 month warranty included.
